Dear campaign of hate:
While I don't see the image you describe, I have written on this subject in the past.
As an painter of fantasy art, I specialize in hidden imagery, such as that of Bev Dolittle or Octavio Ocampo. Professional artists -- quoted on this forum in older threads -- have agreed that there is something strange about WT art. No one agrees on everything; there are fervent believers in both camps.
IMHO, it is not necessary to insult or belittle a person for asking a question about what is generally agreed to be the weird iconography, and beyond, of WT art.
Keep asking questions, despite the rudeness that accompanies discussions of this type of art.

Disfellowshipping Image
by naazira inthis photo can be found in the april 15 , study edition article titled:.
why disfellowshipping is a loving provision.
just by looking at this image we can see how quickly the barrier between the congregation and former member is put up, after the announcement that this sister is no longer one of jehovah's witneses.

Nice comments, OC and Xan!
I don't remember if it was during or after my tenure as nitpicking proofreader when m'habitais la caja bon Dieu.
In the beloved Life Everlasting in Freedom of the Sons of God, I found some egregious, unartistic art-renderings: 1) both present and missing railing of the synagogue podium where a beardless Jesus read 'today this scripture has been fulfilled'; 2) a little girl petting a lion with outsized head and diminutive body.
No one ever listened to me . . .

Grandpa wondered the same thing.
He was standing in his front yard and they walked right on by. Might have been back call day and he wasn't on their list. Or he wasn't a door to knock on.
He was always ready to chat . . .
Hi Rip!

JW.ORG posters held up at a sports game?
by stuckinarut2 inremember the christians who like to hold up john 3:16 signs at sporting events or large crowd gatherings?.
i wonder when we will see witnesses follow that example and hold up jw.org signs at the next big sporting event or concert.........

Glad you're doing well, OC!
I speak of friends on my pages who boldly spout their love and support for this or that sports team and musicians of our youth who still tour. And, of course, they attend these events. Isn't it dangerous to mix with "Satan's crowd"? And the cost!
My biggest surprise has been comments made on political, military, and social issues, particularly by inactive JWs, who remain friended by active JWs.
So different in "our day"!
Best.

Yes, I have.
It appears to be an entirely new field of click-on preaching. When I reply to a particular post in an earnest but guarded manner, I have gotten "likes," but no engagement. In general, posts exclaim how wonderful the spiritual paradise is, how loving Jehovah is, how we are receiving food . . .
Enough already!

Jehovah's Witness art is perhaps best known for depicting scenes of destruction or paradise. While fundamentalist Christians have been depicting biblical scenes in the My Book of Bible Stories vein for over a hundred years, the frequency with which Jehovah's Witnesses have painted scenes of Earthly chaos, divine retribution, Armageddon, and literal depictions from John's Revelation have earned them a reputation among the general public of being doomsayers. It's worth noting, however, that Watchtower artists have depicted scenes of eternal Earthly paradise with the same frequency. The argument can be made that works of either persuasion serve as effective pieces of art, self contained slices of Americana and religious lunacy with more than a tinge of eeriness, accentuated by the poor quality of their construction rather than harmed by it. The scenes of paradise seem, to me, even more frightening and eerie than those of destruction. Everlasting conformity and the horrendously artificial smile adorned by the subjects haunt me more than the scenes of heavenly warfare.

Thanks, GrreatTeacher and Hairtigger, for your comments.
I would've answered sooner, but I tripped on a comma and was hanged by a dangling participle . . .
Gratefully,
